Lace Hybrid Hair Loss

Your Style With Flexibility

A lace hybrid system for hair is a hairpiece or wig that combines a delicate, natural-looking lace front with a sew in or glue in on the back and/ or sides. This construction specifically allows for the benefits of both materials: a seamless, undetectable hairline at the front and added durability and ease of attachment in the rear sections.

Frontal Lace System

Frontal wigs feature a large lace base (typically 13x4 or 13x6 inches) that covers the entire hairline from ear to ear. This extensive coverage acts like a "half wig" and is designed to mimic a seamless, natural-looking hairline. They are ideal for individuals with more significant hair loss or thinning edges along the entire front hairline, as the lace material effectively conceals these areas.

The large lace area allows for maximum styling flexibility, including pulling the hair back into high ponytails, buns, and various intricate braided styles. Frontals require higher maintenance, including regular upkeep and reapplication, often using glues or adhesives that may irritate sensitive scalps over time and generally more expensive than closures

Closure Lace System

Your Style With Flexibility

Closure wigs utilize a smaller, often square-shaped lace patch (typically 4x4 or 5x5 inches) placed at the crown or middle of the head. It provides a natural-looking part and a seamless transition where the wig meets the skin. They are an excellent solution for individuals experiencing thinning or hair loss in a specific, contained area at the top/crown of the head. They are also a good option for beginners due to their ease of use. Closures are easier to manage and require less maintenance compared to frontals, often requiring no glue for a secure fit (can be secured with adjustable straps or sewn in). The smaller coverage area restricts styling options; updos or pulling all hair back is generally not possible without potentially exposing the wig cap or wefts.
